Meet our 2020-2021 Team!!!
Freshman
Emma is a freshman, Psychology and Sociology double major from Syracuse, New York! She has skated for 15 years and this is her 7th year skating synchro. She can't wait to get back on the ice, compete, and make more memories next season and in her future years with the team!!
Julia Guidone is a freshman studying Accounting and Entrepreneurship at Whitman. Next year, She will be the Financial Officer. In the past, She has skated for the New England Skating Club for 8 years. A fun fact about Julia is that she's a lifeguard!
Alia Younes is a freshman from Maryland. She has been skating since she was nine and has been doing synchro since she was 11! Alia hopes to continue skating on OESU throughout her time at Syracuse!
My name is Alyssa Thompson and I'm a freshman studying Advertising with a minor in Marketing. I'm from Cary, North Carolina and skated for Triangle Formation for 7 years. A fun fact about me is that I was a ballet dancer prior to doing synchro!
Sophomores
What's good guys, I'm Cole LaFiandra. I'm a sophomore here at Cuse, with a major in Broadcast & Digital Journalism and minors in Sport Management and Political Science.
I'm a Philly native, and I skated synchro for 11 seasons before skating with @teamusa on the World Team in 2018.
In my free time you can catch me at Barnes lifting some pretty heavy stuff (preferably in my Pit Vipers) or planning the team's next social.
So excited to see these ladies next season! xo
Juniors
Hi everyone, my name is Julianna and I'm a junior double-majoring in Biotechnology and Policy Studies. I'm from the Bronx, NY, and have been skating for 12 years. This has been my third year with OESU and this team has been one of my favorite parts of college. A fun fact about me is that I am an EMT and work for @suambulance
Caroline Katzman is a junior from Chantilly, Va studying Information Management & Tech with a concentration in Data Analytics and Marketing. She has been skating for 17 years, doing synchro for 11 years, and formally skated on Team Ashburn for 8 seasons. She is currently our PR officer and will be our On-Ice Captain during the 2021-22 season! She cant wait for next season to make more memories, compete, and have the best senior year with all her teammates! A fun fact about her is that during her time on Team Ashburn she performed at a @capitals NHL hockey game during her senior year of hs. Go Orange!!
Hi my name is Elisa Pronina Brauer, I'm a junior majoring in Communication Design in VPA and a minor of human development and family science. I come from a figure skating family so I have been skating for as long as I can remember. I had no synchronized skating experience before joining the team and fell in love with every aspect. This season I was quite upset that we didn't get to compete but glad we still got together for practices. I love this team and can't wait for what happens next.
Maddy Harrington is a junior from Goffstown, New Hampshire studying Earth science. She has been skating since age 3 and this is currently her 3rd year on OESU! She is super stoked to be able to get back on the ice next year for her senior year and make more memories!
Hi everyone! My name is Victoria and I am a junior double majoring in bioengineering and neuroscience. I am from Connecticut and have been skating for 15 years and doing synchro for 11 years. I am so excited for senior year and having a great season with OESU!!
Seniors
Nicole Salpini is a senior studying marketing management and real estate from Webster, NY. She is currently serving as the financial officer for the team. She has been skating for 15 years and has been on Orange Experience for the last 4 years. She has loved her time on the team and will miss all of the girls so much!
Mel is our Off-Ice Captain! Mel is a premed Bio major with a Public Health minor from Houston, Texas. She hopes to one day become a Pediatrician. Mel's life motto is why be moody when you can shake your booty!
Jenna Fink is a senior studying marketing and broadcast & digital journalism from Dallas, Texas. She has been skating for 16 years and this is her 11th year doing synchro. Jenna has been on OESU all 4 years and loved being on-ice captain this year! Although we weren't able to compete this year due to Covid-19, she is so glad she got to practice and spend time with her teammates. She's gonna miss these girls so much next year!
Hello everyone! My name is Tasha Getten and I am a senior from Steamboat Springs, Co. I am majoring in sports management and minoring in sports event management. I have been skating since I was 8 years old and have synchro all 4 years at SU. I am currently the team bonding officer for our team! A fun fact about me is that I am a manager of @cuse_mbb !!
Hi everyone I'm Gwyn Wilkens, a senior majoring in Biology. I'm the Team Manager. I'm from Minnesota and have skated with the team the last 4 years.
